Wow. Talk About the 'Long Tail'...

I'll admit it: Since launching this site a week or so ago, I've been anxiously watching -- OK, borderline OCD about checking and re-checking -- the Google Analytics and Technorati stats to see who, if anyone, is visiting and linking.

Today, TroySchneider.com got its fourth Technorati-recognized link. (To paraphrase Citizen Dick: "We're not just an Arlington blog -- we're huge in the Czech Republic...") And apparently, the difference between three links and four is about 300,000 spots on the rankings.

So I've now skyrocketed to become Technorati's 1,232,969th most influential blog -- or maybe 1,339,213th, depending on which page you look at. (Either way, I'm sure the Engadget team is just terrified...)

This must be what it feels like to sell, say, two copies of your book on Amazon -- kinda cool, but a long, long way still to go!
